The structural foundation system utilizes conventional shallow footings supported by aggregate piers. Second and third level floor slabs are composite concrete over metal deck supported by steel beams. Metal roof deck over open web steel joists and steel beams form the roof structure. A one-story high floor truss was utilized to support the cantilevered corner of the building above the main entry.

Civil work included the removal of an existing structure and parking lot.  Prior to redevelopment, the entire site was considered impervious cover (building and pavement).  The civil stormwater management challenges centered mostly around designing a system that would meet the City's runoff requirements, the State's water quality requirements, and also achieve LEED credits.  Ultimately, BKBM designed an underground infiltration tank that was combined with creative landscaping and additional green cover.  The result exceeded all of the stormwater requirements.

The project has achieved LEED silver status with the possibility of achieving LEED gold.
